We would like to invite your school to take part in two very exciting competitions we are running before the Festival!

Art Competition

	Age groups:	5-7, 8-10, 10+
	Topic:	Balbriggan 2060 (Balbriggan in 50 years time)
	Children must put their name, contact number and age on the back. All pictures will be collected by Tuesday 1st June 2010 by a member of the committee. There are great prizes for each category and all winning pictures will be displayed proudly in a prominent place in Balbriggan for the duration of the Festival.

Short Story Competition (Breege Tuite Memorial)

Age groups:

5th and 6th classes only

Topic:

If I was in charge of Balbriggan for a day, I would...

Children must put their name, contact number and age on the back. All stories must be less than 250 words. All stories will be collected by Tuesday 1st June 2010 by a member of the committee. The overall first prize (between all schools) is to be "Celebrity for The Day" - we have a mystery celebrity to open up the SummerFest and the winner of the short story competition will be collected by a car and get to meet the mystery celebrity and get to travel in the parade with them! They will be treated just like a celebrity!

There are also great runner up prizes and all winning entries will be displayed proudly in a prominent place in Balbriggan for the duration of the Festival.
